Thanks for deciding to be a self-publisher. Optimizing your great content to be more friendly to search engines. It helps to attract potential followers to your content in the competitive web space. Further, it helps the web reader to understand the content relevant to him at first sight, which makes the engagement with content more effective. Following instructions will help you to improve your search engine optimization score.
Use the Basic Navigations for My Content ,Guideline and Forum for navigating to your content. Scroll down and you will find the section called Rank Math SEO score section (Refer to the following image).
You can find the suggestions for SEO under four sections, Basic SEO, Additional, Title Readability, and Text Readability. Changing the content accordingly helps you to improve the SEO indicated in the red box. To find more details about each suggestion you can use the question mark, which is indicated above.
You can add one or more desired focus keywords by typing the text box indicated as “Focus Keyword“. These can be considered as the possible keywords a web browsing user types to search engines to find similar articles.
Just above the “Focus Keyword” textbox, you can find the “Edit Snippet” button, where you can edit the Meta Description of the content. Meta Description if the summarised preview display with the search results in the Search Engines.
Basic SEO
- Add Focus Keyword to the SEO title – The similarity of the focus keywords and the title was given to the content considered. Find more about the title of the content in Let’s Get Started.
- Add Focus Keyword to your SEO Meta Description – Focus keyword is required to be found in the meta description. Web users tend to read the description after the title and the Google tends to highlight the similarities between what they searched and what is in the description in bold letters. Having focus keywords in meta description helps to bold out.
- Use Focus Keywords in the URL – This SEO validation expects to find the focus keywords in the content URL. Find more about the URL of the content in Let’s Get Started.You cannot change the URL of the post after publication.
- Use Focus Keyword in the content – It is recommended to have the focus keyword inside your content because it proves the relevance to select the keyword, based on the similarity matching for search engines.
- Overall Content Length – The content length validation is only required for articles and it expects to have more than 600 words per article. Lengthy articles might make the readers bored in some languages, thus having 600 words helps to build up a reach content with facts and calculations.

- Focus Keyword in Subheading (Primary and Secondary Focus Keywords) – Having focus keyword(s) in the part of the heading(s). Let’s Get Started provide details on how to add headings using the editor toolbar.
- Focus Keyword in Image Alt Attributes – The alt text (Alternative text) is used to display in case of an image in the content could not be displayed in the content. The alt text is used to interpret the image by the Search Engines. Refer to the edit image subtopic in Let’s Get Started to add a suitable alternative text to the images.
- Keyword Density – The number of times the keyword(s) are repeated within the content.
- URL Length – It is recommended to have a URL length is 75 or below.
- Linking to External Sources – You can support your content with reference to the external world by adding links. Use the Link button as described in the Let’s Get Started to link a sentence or word.
- Linking to Internal Resources – You can reference what you or other self-publishers have written within the nonimi.ink
The remaining validations suggest the focus keywords in the title, optimizing the length of the paragraph, and adding images to the content.
It is not recommended to follow all the suggestions. Self-publisher can decide what is relevant and what is irrelevant from the following suggestions.
